About Viva La Vida Store

Hello, dear friend!
Let me share the story behind this shop.
It’s not just a store — it’s a piece of my heart.
I’m originally from Ukraine.
The war forced me to leave my home, my favorite street, my things, my friends — even the comforting smell of morning coffee on the balcony.
I left... but a part of me stayed behind. After moving to the United States, I had a roof over my head, belongings, a chance to start a new chapter.
And yet, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was “kind of home, but not really.” It felt as if a part of me would forever remain there — on my native land, in the sounds of my language, in the smell of home cooking, in the armchair by the window.
As if I was living in two places at once — my body here, but my soul still there. Over time, I started to reflect on what "home" truly means.

And I realized — it’s not just people.
It’s the little things that hold our memories.
It’s the table where we gathered as a family.
It’s the cup my mom used to pour tea.
It’s the tiny pillow that remembers childhood dreams.
Simple objects — yet filled with our stories, emotions, and identity.
That realization inspired me.

I wanted to create a space where anyone could find something meaningful — something that makes a house feel like home.
That’s how Viva La Vida was born — which means “Let life live” or “Live life to the fullest.”
It’s more than just a name. It’s a reminder that even after loss, even after change — life goes on.

And we are the ones who shape what we call home.
It’s my tribute to the past.
My way to preserve memories and share warmth with others.
One day I heard a phrase that touched me deeply:
“Memories don’t disappear — they are etched into the soul. Even if the mind forgets them, they remain in the heart.”
That’s why I created Viva La Vida — to help people build new memories, wherever they are.
Maybe here, you’ll find something that brings back the feeling of warmth, of love, of family.
Something that becomes a part of your own story.
I truly believe that even one small item can make a space feel like yours — special, warm, and real.
Take a look through our collection. Maybe you’ll find something that reminds you of home, of childhood, of what truly matters.
Or perhaps... it will become part of your beautiful new beginning.
With love and gratitude,
SK
